We are excited to announce the opening of our first cloud data center location on the continent of Africa! Starting today, Vultr users can provision cloud instances from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Vultr is the first global, independent cloud computing provider to open a data center location on the African continent. Vultr's mission is to provide businesses and developers around the world with unrivaled ease of use, price-to-performance, and global reach. A fundamental part of this mission is continually expanding our global footprint, particularly in underserved regions of the world. With our new Johannesburg location, Vultr is further democratizing access to affordable, high performance cloud computing for businesses and developers in South Africa and across the broader region.
Vultr's expansion in Africa follows our recently-announced expansion in South Asia, with new locations in Bangalore, Delhi NCR, and Mumbai.
The opening of Vultr's Johannesburg location is part of a larger commitment to meet businesses, developers, and end users where they are. Vultr is working to ensure all regions of the world have access to critical cloud infrastructure.
With our eighth new location this year, Vultr continues to deliver the most efficient platform of any independent cloud computing company, helping to provide users with unrivaled price-to-performance.
